I hesitate to mark this as fan art, I'm not a fan of war nor the acts of barbarity that occurred on the Eastern Front in the Second World War. I'm just a student of history, and the Eastern Front has been a major focus of research for a very long time now. The cost in human suffering on both sides is incalculable, so I'm no "fan" of it.
I just always wanted to make something, anything to pay respect to the unprecedented loss of life not only on this front, but around the world on all sides. Pain is international, we all hurt and bleed the same.
Thanks to the custom brushes course on here as learning how to make your own specific brushes, well the instructor was right. It changes your whole approach. I used a reference image I've had for a long time so I don't know who to credit for that, but attribution to Artstation learning for helping me climb another wall I hit hard a while ago and finally was able to be happy with what I have.
